• Device identifiers - We use Firebase to generate anonymous device identifiers for authentication. These are not linked to your real identity.
• Usage data - We collect anonymous data about how you interact with the app, such as which stories you view, to improve the experience.
• Crash and performance data - We collect crash logs and performance metrics to identify and fix bugs.
• Device language - We detect your device language to display content in your preferred language.

Information you provide:

• Discussion comments - If you participate in discussions, the content of your comments is stored. Comments are posted anonymously and are not linked to any personal identity.

Information we do NOT collect:

• Name, email address, or phone number
• Location data (precise or coarse)
• Photos, contacts, or files from your device
• Payment or financial information
• Health or fitness data
• Browsing history outside the app

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

3. No Account Required

WNT does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. All users are anonymous by default.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:

5. Data Retention

Discussion comments are retained for as long as the associated news story is active in the app. Anonymous device identifiers and usage data are retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes. Crash and performance data is retained for up to 90 days.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transmission and Firebase security rules to control data access.

7. Children's Privacy

WNT is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

Since WNT operates anonymously and does not collect personal identifying information, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you wish to remove your discussion comments, you can contact us and we will assist you.

9. International Users

WNT is available worldwide and content is provided in multiple languages. Your data may be processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the app, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. No Advertising or Tracking

WNT does not display advertisements. We do not track users across other apps or websites. We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.
